The Pro Xe K04-015 Hybrid Turbo is engineered to unlock the true performance potential of the legendary Audi and Volkswagen 1.8T 20V platform while retaining OEM fitment, excellent drivability, and lightning-fast spool.
Built around the proven BorgWarner K04-015, this hybrid upgrade delivers substantially greater airflow than the factory turbocharger through a carefully engineered combination of enlarged billet compressor and turbine components. Rather than chasing peak numbers alone, the Pro Xe Hybrid is designed to produce a broad, usable powerband with exceptional transient response and impressive midrange torque, making it equally at home on the street, road course, or drag strip.
Every turbocharger is completely disassembled, precision machined, hand ported, rebuilt using OEM-quality components, and high-speed VSR balanced to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
HOW IS IT UPGRADED?
Each Pro Xe K04-015 Hybrid Turbo receives extensive machining and airflow improvements throughout the entire turbocharger.
Every unit features:
• Fully machined and ported compressor housing
• Fully machined and ported turbine housing
• Maximum wastegate and outlet porting
• Oversized billet compressor wheel
• Oversized 9-blade cutback turbine wheel
• Upgraded journal bearing CHRA components
• New bearings, seals, and hardware throughout
The larger billet compressor significantly increases airflow while maintaining excellent compressor efficiency and surge resistance. Paired with an oversized cutback turbine wheel and optimized turbine housing, the Pro Xe Hybrid reduces exhaust restriction, improves high-RPM efficiency, and extends the powerband well beyond the limitations of the factory K04-015.
Every turbocharger is VSR balanced to 150,000 RPM and thoroughly inspected prior to shipment.

CORE INSPECTION POLICY
Customers wishing to have their existing turbocharger rebuilt or upgraded must contact Pro Xe Automotive before placing an order.
All customer-supplied turbochargers are inspected prior to approval to ensure the housings and core components meet our standards for restoration and performance use.
For customers purchasing a hybrid turbocharger and returning their original core afterward, the same inspection procedure applies. Once approved, the applicable core refund will be issued.
