The Pro Xe Stage 3 Ball Bearing Hybrid Turbo is the flagship K04-064 hybrid turbocharger in the Pro Xe lineup, engineered for enthusiasts seeking the absolute maximum performance from the factory K04 footprint.

Developed without compromise, the Stage 3 combines an all-new dual ceramic ball bearing center housing with our largest compressor and turbine package, delivering exceptional transient response, reduced friction, increased reliability under extreme shaft speeds, and the highest airflow capability of any Pro Xe K04-064 hybrid.

Unlike conventional journal bearing hybrids, the dual ball bearing CHRA significantly reduces rotating friction, allowing the turbocharger to spool faster, recover boost more quickly between shifts, and remain stable at elevated boost pressures and shaft speeds. Combined with extensive compressor and turbine housing development, the Stage 3 offers outstanding drivability without sacrificing top-end performance.

HOW IS IT UPGRADED?

Every Stage 3 Hybrid Turbo is completely disassembled, precision machined, and assembled using premium components throughout.

Each unit features:

• Dual ceramic ball bearing CHRA
• Fully machined and aggressively ported compressor housing
• Fully machined and aggressively ported turbine housing
• Enlarged turbine volute and throat area
• Maximum wastegate and outlet porting
• Oversized billet extended tip compressor wheel
• Oversized clipped cutback turbine wheel
• High-strength nickel-chromium turbine alloy
• OEM electronic wastegate calibrated and installed
• New seals, hardware, and premium internal components

The ball bearing center section reduces friction by eliminating conventional journal bearings, improving transient response, reducing spool time, and enhancing durability under sustained high boost. Combined with the oversized compressor and turbine package, the Stage 3 delivers exceptional airflow while maintaining excellent efficiency throughout the operating range.

Every turbocharger is VSR balanced to 150,000 RPM and thoroughly tested prior to shipment.

CORE INSPECTION POLICY

Customers wishing to have their existing turbocharger rebuilt or upgraded must contact Pro Xe Automotive before placing an order.

All customer-supplied turbochargers are inspected prior to approval for rebuilding or upgrading. Once approved, applicable core refunds will be processed following inspection.
