OEM Turbo Control Valve (TCV)

After years of testing on both our own vehicles and customer cars, working alongside renown tuners, we’ve consistently found the OEM Volvo TCV to be the best option for reliable boost control on the P1 platform.

Many aftermarket “heavy-duty” or industrial-style boost control solenoids are marketed as an upgrade, but in practice we’ve seen the opposite. These valves are often designed for universal applications rather than Volvo’s boost control strategy, which can lead to boost spikes, oscillation, inconsistent boost regulation, and poor drivability. While they may flow more on paper, that doesn’t automatically translate into better performance on a ME9-controlled Volvo.

The factory TCV was specifically designed to work with Volvo’s engine management system, and it continues to perform exceptionally well even on tuned vehicles and hybrid turbo setups.
