PRO XE STAGE 1 HYBRID TURBO

The Pro Xe Stage 1 Hybrid Turbo is our entry-level performance upgrade for the BorgWarner K04-064 platform found on the Audi S3, Audi TTS, and select MQB EA888 Gen 3 vehicles.

Designed for enthusiasts looking to exceed the limitations of the factory turbocharger without sacrificing drivability, the Stage 1 delivers significantly increased airflow, faster boost recovery, and stronger power throughout the RPM range while maintaining OEM fitment and factory-like spool characteristics.

Rather than simply installing a larger compressor wheel, every Pro Xe hybrid is engineered as a complete airflow package. Both the compressor and turbine housings are precision machined and hand ported to maximize efficiency while maintaining reliability for daily-driven and track-oriented applications.

HOW IS IT UPGRADED?

Every Stage 1 Hybrid Turbo is completely disassembled, inspected, machined, and rebuilt using upgraded OEM-quality components.

Each unit features:

• Fully machined and ported compressor housing
• Fully machined and ported turbine housing
• Maximum wastegate and outlet porting
• Oversized 7+7 billet aluminum compressor wheel
• Oversized 9-blade cutback turbine wheel
• Upgraded journal bearing CHRA components
• OEM electronic wastegate calibration and setup
• New bearings, seals, and hardware throughout

The oversized 7+7 billet compressor provides increased airflow while maintaining excellent compressor efficiency and surge resistance. Complementing it is an oversized 9-blade cutback turbine that reduces exhaust restriction, improves high-RPM breathing, and allows the turbocharger to maintain efficiency further into the rev range compared to the factory K04-064.

Every turbocharger is high-speed VSR balanced to 150,000 RPM and thoroughly inspected prior to shipment.

COMPATIBILITY

The Pro Xe K04 Hybrid Turbo is designed around the BorgWarner K04-064 platform and is compatible with both factory K04-equipped vehicles and many K03-equipped EA113 applications when installed with the appropriate supporting hardware and ECU calibration.

The Pro Xe K04 Hybrid is also compatible with many EA113 vehicles originally equipped with a K03 turbocharger when paired with the appropriate K04 conversion hardware, fueling upgrades, and ECU calibration.

CORE INSPECTION POLICY

Customers wishing to have their existing turbocharger rebuilt or upgraded must contact Pro Xe Automotive before placing an order.

All customer-supplied turbochargers are inspected prior to approval for rebuilding or upgrading. This ensures the housings and core components meet our standards for restoration, reliability, and performance use.

For customers purchasing a hybrid turbocharger and returning their original core afterward, the same inspection procedure applies. Once approved, the applicable core refund will be issued.

If a warrantable defect is confirmed, Pro Xe Automotive will repair or replace the turbocharger at our discretion.
